Unipart’s Big Charity Challenge 2024 raised £56,450.09

December 2024Unipart’s Big Charity Challenge 2024 has raised £56,450.09 for 42 different charities around the world local to Unipart sites.

Unipart colleagues engaged in a week of focused fundraising at the start of November to benefit charities chosen by site teams.

A wide range of fundraising activities and events took place, ranging from bake sales to darts tournaments, attempting to raise as much as possible for chosen charities.

Unipart Logistics Nuneaton raised the most money of any site, an incredible £2,850 for Midlands charity Acorns Children’s Hospice. This donation will support the hospice’s vital work in ensuring every family deserves the chance to create unforgettable memories with their child, no matter how short their time together.

Other significant donations from this year’s challenge include:

In celebration of Unipart’s 50th anniversary this year, the Unipart Executive Leadership Team completed a ‘Walk & Talk 500 Miles Challenge’ as part of this year’s challenge to raise money for their chosen charity Mind, raising £6,325.

Unipart Chief Executive Officer Darren Leigh said: “We are delighted to have raised such a huge amount of money for so many important charities during this year’s Big Charity Challenge. Supporting our communities is a crucial part of the Unipart spirit, so it was fantastic to see everyone come together to make a genuine difference.

“It’s particularly special that in the year we celebrate our 50th anniversary we break the £50,000 mark. This would not have been possible without the kindness and generosity of Unipart colleagues working and living The Unipart Way, adding the most value for our stakeholders. Our communities will benefit enormously from these donations, so we’re all incredibly proud to be a part of this.

“I’d like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s challenge, and everyone who donated so generously for those most in need.”
