Unipart wins back-to-back safety, wellbeing and sustainability trebles
December 2024 – Unipart has maintained its world-class recognition for safety, wellbeing and sustainability by the British Safety Council.
For the second year in a row, Unipart Logistics won the Sword of Honour (safety), Shield of Honour (wellbeing) and Globe of Honour (sustainability). This is the 2nd year in a row that Unipart Logistics has won the ‘treble’, and the 12th year in a row that it has won the Globe of Honour.
In addition to this, Unipart Rail were also awarded the Sword of Honour again.
The Shield of Honour follows Unipart being awarded a five-star rating in the British Safety Council wellbeing audit earlier this year, in which Unipart was found to excel in providing not only comprehensive mental health support, but also additional resources for those assisting others, such as line managers and mental health first aiders, with exemplary safeguarding protocols.
Unipart Chief Sustainability Officer Andy Pyne said: “Winning these awards is a fantastic achievement, and true testament to the culture we have at Unipart. Our people work incredibly hard every single day to ensure we maintain safety, wellbeing and sustainability at the heart of everything we do, and it’s this engagement and commitment that means we can now say we’re the first business ever to achieve a back-to-back treble from the British Safety Council.
“We’re incredibly proud to be part of a culture that is so focused and successful in these three areas, as it means we can serve our customers in the best way possible. Whilst this recognition is great for Unipart, we never stand still and we’re already looking at how we can continuously improve our processes to achieve world-class levels for safety and sustainability.”
