UTL pulls out all the stops for local foodbank charity

Nuneaton Foodbank – the charity which provides emergency food for local people in crisis – recently ran a campaign with its local Tesco in Bedworth asking for food donations.  They were swamped with donations from the local community but had no way of transporting the goods collected at the supermarket checkouts to their warehouses for sorting and redistribution.

That’s when the UTL Nuneaton Distribution Team came to the rescue.  After a frantic phone call from the Foodbank to the UTL site manager asking for help, the distribution guys leaped into action.

The driver, Pete Drew delivered the donations to the Foodbank’s two warehouses, helping to unload over 100 tote boxes before rushing off to his next job.

The Foodbank was full of praise for the UTL Distribution Team’s commitment and thanked them for all their hard work.

Well done to the team which included Tony Jones, Liam Buckley and Pete Drew.
