Unipart Group has chosen to support Maggie’s Oxford with a series of fundraising activities throughout 2014. The first event is a Six Nations Dress Down Day which will take place at Unipart House on Thursday 13th February.
Maggie’s is a charity with centres located in the grounds of major NHS cancer hospitals, offering support that people with cancer, and their friends and relatives, desperately need. Maggie’s believe that professional, emotional and psychological support can change the way people live with cancer, helping them to become active participants in their treatment, take back control of their lives and not lose the ‘joy of living in the fear of dying’.
Deborah Astles, who heads up Corporate Responsibility at Unipart Group said “Our target for the year is to raise £15,000 for Maggie’s Oxford through a variety of events which we hope will be fun, as well as raising badly needed funds. maggie’s will make a significant difference to people living with cancer in and around Oxford, and through our fundraising activity we can make a significant difference to Maggie’s Oxford and help to create a lasting legacy for our community”
