Our approach to responsible business is described in detail in our Conducting Business the Unipart Way document which has existed for over 25 years.
In planning our 2020 corporate responsibility strategy, we have developed clear alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development goals, which were first implemented in 2016.
The 17 goals are as follows:
GOAL 1: No Poverty
GOAL 2: Zero Hunger
GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being
GOAL 4: Quality Education
GOAL 5: Gender Equality
GOAL 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
GOAL 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
GOAL 10: Reduced Inequality
GOAL 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
GOAL 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
GOAL 13: Climate Action
GOAL 14: Life Below Water
GOAL 15: Life on Land
GOAL 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
GOAL 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal
The UN sustainable development goals are consistent with Unipart’s long term thinking. We have carefully considered how our approach to Corporate Responsibility aligns with those goals and illustrated that alignment below.
This is an ongoing activity and will be reviewed at least annually to ensure we challenge ourselves against the UN Sustainable Development Goals and that our key activities remain impactful.
