Unipart has an enduring relationship with Oxfordshire as a county and with many of its business leaders. As one of only a handful of large companies within the county, Unipart has taken a leadership role in promoting the agenda of corporate responsibility amongst its peers.
Nowhere has this been more prevalent than in Unipart’s support for Oxfordshire Business First, the not-for-profit company, which is chaired by Unipart’s Director of Corporate Affairs Frank Nigriello.
Oxfordshire Business First brings together business leaders from across a wide spectrum of industry sectors to identify and deliver opportunities to grow the economy by enabling businesses to be more successful.
Unipart has been a major sponsor of Oxfordshire Business First and has directly supported a range of activities such as:
a successful programme to raise awareness of entrepreneurship amongst 6th form and college students,
a series of events to promote innovation and creativity through best practice sharing,
dinners, receptions and breakfast meetings connecting national organisations such as the CBI with Oxfordshire business leaders, and providing a forum for business people to meet and discuss issues with a panel of local MPs in a ‘Question Time’ setting.
