April 2024 – For the 11th consecutive year Unipart Logistics has been awarded a Distinction, the highest achievable award, at the International Safety Awards.
Hosted by the British Safety Council, the International Safety Awards recognise and celebrate organisations from around the world that have demonstrated a commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related ill health during the previous year.
Graded on its demonstration of leadership and continuous improvement of health and safety, as well as wellbeing initiatives within the UK, Unipart Logistics scored in the top 25% of more than 1,000 submissions.
Andy Pyne, Unipart Chief Sustainability Officer, said: “As a leading provider of supply chain solutions and performance improving technologies, it’s vital that Unipart maintains the very highest standards of safety, wellbeing and sustainability for our people and our customers.
“This award serves as a testament to the world-class safety culture we have created through The Unipart Way and our Safety Starts With You approach, and demonstrates Unipart’s absolute commitment to maintaining our position as one of the safest organisations in the world.
“The mark of Distinction could not have been achieved without the thousands of Unipart employees thinking, working and behaving The Unipart Way, applying a continuous improvement mindsight, to ensure we deliver operational excellence for our customers in a safe and sustainable manner.”
This award follows on from Unipart becoming the first organisation ever to be recognised with a world-class safety, wellbeing and sustainability ‘treble’ by the British Safety Council in November.
Unipart will collect the award at the formal ceremony in London in June 2024.
